Dream work
Discover your Passion, Realize your Purpose, Live your Joy
Dreams come in the service of Health and Wholeness
-Jeremy Taylor Remember when you were a child and you were excited to live; you had a foundation that life was fundamentally good. There are several studies that show that peak happiness for most people occurs at age 12 and then declines markedly from there. Most of us lose a vital connection to what brings us Joy and a sense of Purpose. Instead of confronting that state we have been conditioned to harden up in various ways and hope that we and our lives will improve in the future. Perhaps some of us are satisfied with certain areas of our lives like our work, but have given up on other areas of life. Dreams come to restore our joy and connection; our felt sense of wholeness. |
Dreams are vital communication from our source of wisdom. They may come in inspiring forms and lofty adventures. They may come just as naturally in scary forms and disturbing feelings. Dreams have little regard for our inauthentic ways of surviving our lives. They cut through our self deception to restore our passion for life.
We all live lives of great contradiction. If we pay attention we notice the how really irrational we are. For example we may want and fight for world peace and yet live with repeating themes of conflict in our own relationships. We may be generous and kind with our co-workers yet surprisingly harsh and critical with our children or partner or ourselves. We try to sort this out by trying harder to be our better selves with mixed results. Working with dreams allow us to generously live inside and through our contradictions. It is a process of allowing the apparently conflicting energies to transmute and inform each other. We emerge with a greater sense of wholeness and ability to respond to life appropriately. |
